Tunecore has raised it’s distribution renewal fee by 150% that’s from only $19.98 to a whopping $49.99, they raised their prices in April. Many artists using the service are furious by the rise as they signed up for a life time price of only $19.98 a year and what makes it worse is Tunecore give them the ultimatum, if they don’t pay the fee of $49.99 Tunecore will remove their music all reviews, comments and they will no longer be allowed to use the Tunecore player. This change though could be considered a bad business move as many other distributors have jumped in with very competitive rates. But what do you think? Have they priced themselves out of the market for digital music distribution? Or does this allow other less known distributors to prove their worth?

Mister Jack has knocked Cher LLoyd of the number one spot on YouTube, so much for the X-Factor publicity machine, eh? I know Mister Jack’s not a fan of X-Factor but he has told me he is a fan of Cher Lloyd’s musical style. He must be well stoked to be number one on YouTube.

Call me a geek but I’m always on my iPhone and when I discovered that I can listed to my playlists while I write texts or browse the web I was very excited, if you follow Spotify’s blog you’ll have seen what I saw, this statement:
“We know that many of you have been waiting for an update to our iPhone app that supports the latest iOS 4 and background listening. We’re happy to say that an updated app has been submitted to Apple for review. Hopefully we’ll get a speedy approval and to make up for the extra little wait time we’ve added a nice little surprise to make Spotify mobile even more exciting for you, stay tuned!”
Spotify rocks and now I can listen on the go and do other stuff, how awesome is that?

Wow, I could hardly believe it that after downloading the iTunes Festival App I could watch the festival live on the iPhone, can believe it either? I was pretty amazed by this, I was hooked I couldn’t keep my eyes of my iPhone! So if you wanted to go to the iTunes festival but couldn’t make it just head on over to the app store and bag yourself the app.
